It immediately put out the leaves you see in my picture. On June 17th, it finally bloomed. It also has a very sweet smell which surprised me. I did very little other than water it regularly, and occasionally fertilize it. I wasn't sure how well bulbs would do in the extreme heat. However, I've had great success this year and would encourage others not to believe the myth that bulbs don't do well in the deep South.
