The Eureka Spelling Dictionary says that it was introduced in 1989. Commercial Iris growers say Hagar 1990. Differences in dates are not unusual.
Parented by 'Earl of Essex' which is also a purple plicata and is well known to be an excellent rebloomer.

Bloomed here in SLC, Utah in early October. Strong plant with aggressive growth. Light, pleasant scent.
