In my garden, it gets dappled shade until about 2pm, then is in complete shade from a privacy fence. It is planted between 2 large, mature bleeding hearts, and this works perfectly, since Blue Mammoth is late to emerge in spring, and by the time it is getting cranked up, the bleeding hearts are fading, and Blue Mammoth takes over the space. Everybody is happy. I give it no special care except for an occasional sprinkle of alfalfa pellets.

Need dividing now. Were planted in full sun (for the catmint) and do really well except for a bit of scorch in August. They do get a little shade from pine trees in the afternoon.

Its still growing after ten years. Nice mounding habit and excessive flowers in older plants. I have grown seeds from mine and a great number resemble parent plant. Plant shows off after a rain. Holds droplets that reflect light. Looks like millions of white diamonds. Slug-proof when grown. Young plants need to be protected from slugs. Very sturdy leaves. This hosta gets an A+ in my opinion.
