The color of my blossoms is a rich honey gold. I may have to get another one of these as it is so different than the rest of my roses and adds a definite richness to the garden. I have also noticed today the honey bees flocking to it (more than the other roses) and although it is a light sweet fragrance it has something that draws them. I believe that in time gardeners will discover this gem and increase it's popularity. This is a gorgeous rose!

This is good, as it allows the bush to bear many blooms at once, often six or eight. It grows vigorously. Unlike many roses in the yellow spectrum, it does not seem overly susceptible to black spot. The Edmund's Roses website characterizes it as "disease resistant."
The blooms are somewhat fragrant, though not as much as many would like. Some claim that they are "orange," but mine are gold or yellow, tinted slightly toward the orange. Like many roses in this color spectrum, they have their most intense color when they open, and they fade and become pale with age. They fade less in the cool weather in fall than they do in the hot summer, a common trait among roses that fade. They are not as long-lasting as some other hybrid teas, but I find that to be true about yellow roses in general.
As for hardiness: I have had two. Although I bury my roses in ground for the winter, one of the roses died over winter. The other has survived three winters now and continues to grow vigorously. Hardiness is the single most important quality in a rose where I live in NE Wisconsin (Zone 5); this rose appears to be of average hardiness for hybrid teas, in that one rose survived but one did not.
I find this an excellent rose. I rate it a strong positive.
