I planted two Bloomerangs last Spring in my beds - 'Dark Purple' and '...Read MorePink Perfume'. The second flush of blooms was non existent.
During the Late Winter / Early Spring (February) here in the Dertroit area, the rabbits began activity. The culprits in my yard shreded the bark then completely bit off the branches down to about 6''-8'' - OVERNIGHT!
The interesting twist is that I also planted two "Miss Kim" lilacs in the same bed at the same time. There was a branch or two nibbled off, other than that no damage at all!!!!
All of the plants were healthy 3 gallon container grown.
