In its natural ha...Read Morebitat, A. gigantea can reach several feet in height, but in the planted tank tends to stay below 2ft tall. A. gigantea can be challenging in the home aquarium because of its size, and will need to be divided every year or so to keep it under control in the tank. The rhizome should never be burried in the substrate, and the plant can grow very well completely out of the substrate if anchored to a rock or driftwood. All Anubias can be grown emersed, but if the plant was submerged prior, the transition should be made very very slowly, and high humidity must be maintained, with a paludarium being the most preferred setup. Will bloom submerged, but blooms will not usually set seed, and resemble a small calla lily in shape and color.
