This beautiful flower is named in honour of Mrs Mienie Fopma-Manten, wife of Dutch Clematis expert Jan Fopma. There is another Clematis named for him: 'Jan Fopma'. Grow them together for a little romance in the garden. For reasons unknown to me, it appears to be more widely grown in Canada than the US. Hopefully we can change that!
Cleamtis "Mienie Belle" is a wonderful little treasure in my garden. It grows together with Roses at my fence and flowers whole summer long.
