It did produce large numbers of blooms, but they were laying on the ground and since they're a good 6' to 8' tall they covered other things. It spread too quickly, easily doubling the size of the clump each year.
I just moved part of it to a location where I don't care if it spreads; the rest I sprayed with Roundup. If you plant it in your garden be prepared for it to be quite a bully when it comes to space.
