Clematis, Early Large-flowered Clematis 'Bijou'

I bought 8 plants of Clematis Bijou last Spring 2012. I planted 4 in pots for the patio, 2 in two hanging baskets, and 2 in the ground i...Read Moren the garden. Last year they had very insignificant blooms and didn't grow much. This year they are going to be stunning. I have to say that the 2 plants in the hanging baskets over wintered just fine left in the hanging baskets and hung under the eaves of the house, and they are the fastest growing with the most abundant blooms. So deprivation seems to make them thrive. I live in Vancouver, B.C. Buy some! But it will take a couple of years for them to really show their beauty.
