It is a very aggresive grower, but is taller than the description on this site, it is now over 5ft tall and is only 2 seasons old, the spread so far is approx 3-4ft. I have had to attach it to a trelis, it has a tall upright but bushy growing habit, much like a climber. very little black spot, resistant to mildew. Came through the winter (zone 6, PA) with no problem (winter Hardy for this zone)! I only mulch to protect my roses. Had very little dieback, i mostly prunned to control the growth. I have it planted next to Lovers Lane which is 3 seasons old and Pink Traviata is twice its size. I have fallen in love with this rose, iam now looking for a red traviata to complete my garden, this rose has no scent, but the beauty, hardiness and the old world look of it makes up for it, it is also a budding machine, constantly puts out blooms even into late fall, i still had blooms in november last year,a must have for the garden!
