I planted them in plastic containers in hope to move them out when it was warmer.... but, due to long wait, only 6 survived when it was warm enough to put them outside, 3 in 1 tub.
Then... 3 more were killed one afternoon when someone (might be some squirrels or birds) bathed or searched for food in one tub.
I put a dome made of chicken-wire over the other tub to keep animals out, thus 3 survived till they went dormant in fall. I moved them indoors to overwinter.
So far (late May) no new leaf has emerged!!! I thought they had died on me, not just gone dormant. But on a closer look, I saw that the root parts were still very much alive. I will wait a little more, hoping these supposedly sleeping beauties are not goners.... just yet!!! :-(
