Cistus, Rock Rose, Rockrose 'Snow White'

Unlikely to many Cistus it can have a hard prune. Large creamy white flowers with a yellow centre are borne in June and July, and sporadically until autumn. Flower diameter: 6cm. In our (relative) mild winters past years it has stayed perfectly wintergreen. Winter 2008/2009 we had a harsh winter and for about three weeks temps that went down to -22 C (-7.6 F). By that it came out damaged with brown frozen foliage. By now (end of april) it is fast recovering and running out with new young fresh foliage. I've already spotted flower buds, all though it will not flower at its best this year (I think). I'll keep you informed.
