this is one of the more marginal aloes for southern California, reportedly hardy only to zone 10b, but growing in the Huntington for year...Read Mores (though never really looks great), which is a solid zone 10a. Plant I see always has red leaves... not sure what a shade grown plant would look like. From Kenya.
