Appearing before the leaves, these blossoms create a heavenly, white cloud effect, enrapturing any who see it.
After the blooms have been cast to the spring breeze, small 1/2-inch, shiny black fruit appears, much to the delight of area birds. Light green summer foliage turns a rich golden-orange in fall, then gives way to the winter display of deeply furrowed brown bark.
A fine specimen tree in full sun and well drained soil. Grows quickly to 15 feet in 10 years. 26 feet by 35 feet at maturity. Zones 6-8.
