Sadly, before he was able to complete his goal, Dave was taken by alzheimer's and passed.
Dick, developed this and named it in honor of Dave Grigsby in memory of his work and his lasting friendship.
This plant has grown well in our greenhouses and is truly a vigorous enhancement to the A. descoingsii specimens that I have grown. Although there are similiarities cv 'Dave Grigsby' is a plant that stands on its own merit and has unique characteristics as do all of the Aloe hybrids that are currently being developed by Dick Wright.
