Bulbs should be lifted and replanted in fresh soil every 4 years.

Propagation from seeds: during autumn, in a mix of equal parts of compost regular garden soil and sharp river sand. Cover this mix with a thin layer of sharp river sand, distribute the seeds and gently press them against the soil mix, without covering the seeds. Tecophilaea should not be picked/transplanted before two years, to give the bulb the chance to have a healthy development.

Although this is a tiny plant it will not go unnoticed because of its amazing beauty and colour. It can be grown in ports and containers, meadows, etc.
