The closest comparison flavor-wise is probably more like an upscale Brandywine - it's got a nice concentrated quality to it that lets you know it's not a run-of-the-mill 'mater. I did not find this to be a very prolific yielder in my garden but the fruits I got were of good quality so it gets a pass for that. I'd give it a solid 8 out of 10.

Many folks that have grown this variety out concur that it is not the same variety as Brandywine (i.e., the regular 'pink' one), although many say it is somewhat similar in flavor. Then again, others disagree.
In my opinion, it is not Brandywine. It sets better in the heat for me, and the fruits tend to be just a bit smaller.
