Fruits very early, my tiny tree I planted last spring is covered with bloom right now. ...Read MoreI grew it for a number of years at a different house and it should be pruned pretty hard to keep it from growing too tall, I had it pruned to a vase shape and pruned off a lot of large suckers each year, but it was really lovely in bloom that way, and I could pick most of the fruit standing on the ground. This is about my favorite early plum, but it is so juiicy you practically have to eat it outside so you can let it drip on the ground. We used to stand under the tree stuffing ourselves on these. I hope I get a few this year so I can taste them again. This is a rather large plum.
