Beautiful bark & shape, scent of leaves is similar to eucalyptus. Blooms are beautiful & attracts butterflies & hummingbirds. I have other butterfly & hummingbird plants, but the bottlebrush seems to be the favorite, and the hummingbirds fight over it. Needs full sun to grow well & bloom, & are drought-tolerant. I have mine planted in sandy soil & they are doing quite well. Very low-maintenance easy to care for plant which adds uniqueness to the yard & garden.
This BB is only root hardy in zone 8. The only BB that is fully cold hardy in zone 8 is Woodlander's Red.
