It has a s...Read Moreturdy stem/leaf, a distinct leaf shape and spot pattern to the zant-familiar. It is a semi-compact plant but not a ninny, with it's broad leaves. The flowers are perfectly shaped and large for the plant, standing just above the foliage. These are deep plum-skin purple with a strong gold edge that increases in size with age. They are among the longest-lasting Zantedeschia as far as flowers go.
Not only is its color arrangement very sought-after (note other failures in the list) its flower form/shape is undescribable. (And my picture is terrible.) One has to see it to know what I mean. This cultivar (from B & B Bulbs) was suggested to me by a florists' cut-flower calla grower.
-I really should have mentioned the purple-maroon stems. These truly add to the architectural appeal; a person gets three colors on each leaf/petiole.
