I let the babies mature for a few months, then cut each off, leaving as much stalk as possible. Then I plopped them in moist soil, and now I have at least 15 new plants!! Doing great too!
It doesn't get very cold here, so mine don't get as white as others. They need to be watered well, do not let them dry out. You will know when they are dry because they get wilted and the leaves yellow faster.
