If you own any plants (regardless of size) or seed of this species, consider yourself among the lucky few that do. In the last ten years these plants (and seed) are almost impossible to find in the horticultural trade. Though it's native habitat (Coahuila, Mx - possible endemic?) is among the smallest in the genus, it is relatively abundant there. It is almost always found growing in gypsum rich soil (a gypsophile?).
