Quick Note from Dave

Good morning. I don't usually pop up with a note here in the newsletter, but... well, as the saying goes: "Why not?".

Anyway, I have a problem tonight. I'm looking through the newsletter that I am about to send out, and I see that almost 400 plants were added to the Plants Database yesterday, mostly by go_vols and myself. They are mostly Brugs and Hostas, because we're working really hard to develop the Hostas Database and Brugmansias Database. The problem, however, is that if I listed all the plants in this newsletter, it would make the newsletter incredibly big, which would take a long time for each of you to download, and would cause the company who hosts the DG server to get cranky with me. I don't like it when people get cranky with me.

Thus, I apologetically am not going to list out each of these plants, even though I want to. However, you are welcome to hit those two links above and check them out for yourself. (Maybe even upload some of your own pictures, eh!?)

Suffice it to say, we've never had so much activity in the PDB... ever.

Welp, I guess that does it. I'll let you get on with the business of enjoying your coffee, the fun quotes, and, of course, above all, a beautiful picture taken yesterday morning by a certain webmaster that everyone loves. :-)
