"Even though I live in Orlando - where the USDA Cold Hardiness Zone is both Zone 9b and 10a, I have built a cold-weather protected area in which I grow vines, shrubs, trees, orchids (mostly Vandas) and bulb-type plants from tropical regions around the world. It's undoubtedly my most passionate hobby. I love to learn and hopefully even teach something new in the world of horticulture every single day... as I am sure most of you on this website feel the same.
To wrap this up, I'll say I'm really looking forward to the day that Dave's Garden becomes a smartphone app. I can't speak for all Millennials... but being one myself, I can say that I know plenty of other Millennials out there including myself who are just as passionate about Horticulture as those generations before us: but as such an important source of learning, teaching, and sharing as Dave's Garden is, no one wants to see it become lost and disappear among all the other important sources of knowledge that never evolved to keep up with the technology of today. What I'm saying is... this webpage needs to become a smartphone app. If, or shall I say when this becomes a reality, this site will jump alive with activity. To anyone who has sat back to read this far... (I obviously applaud you because I know this is a LONG paragraph!) you just wait and see. It will happen; just as that other once very popular forum-style website--for northerners to grow tropical and subtropical plants in their climate zones using tips and tricks learned from others--that the Development group named Houzz bought out... and now can use the Houzz app on both Android and iPhone.
