"My mother's earliest pictures of me are in the garden.
I can remember planting King Alfred Daffodils with her when I was about five years old. That clump has been divided many times and I now have some of them in my yard in the Mid/Lower Hudson Valley.
I began working in a garden center when I was about seventeen and have continued in that line for the past thirty years. I have worked in retail and production greenhouses and spent a year managing the greenhouses at The Swissette Herb Farm for my dear friend, Dora Gerber.
I am currently working at The Landscape Home & Garden Center in Newburgh, NY. I'm the one with the big white hat." |
