| "I grew up with Mom & Dad always planting a garden. My favorite part of it was the strawberry patch! After several years of not growing my own garden, I am now taking on vegetable gardening head-on. Even though I grew up with Mom & Dad gardening, it is totally different not having them here with all the knowledge. I am learning by a lot of reading and some trial and error. With a little too much error on some things. 2011 is my second year of gardening & I plan to go full force with a more aggressive approach to succession & companion planting. Hopefully the freezer will be full at summer's end and I will have a store of potatoes to last the winter!" |
