"I am a mom of two...a seven year old girl and a 3 year old boy. We have two cats.
We started with a big green rectangle of a little under an acre and have been slowly filling it in with gardens. Hopefully one day there will be no more lawn to mow.
We started with vegetables and annuals and have progressed to adding perennials shrubs and small trees. Most plants are from trading/swapping and from seed/propogation. We garden organically.
If I had to do it over I would buy more land with better trees. Norway and Silver Maples are the pits.
Currently on a two year relocation to Denmark. Shrubs and trees will have grown a lot by the time we return!" |
