Blooming in the morning, mid May, Early summer, zone 9a/9b, afternoon shaded. The flower is a good 7 to 8 inches in diameter

This variety has larger flowers than the type, at least in the specimens seen here in Sth Aust.

It appears that this plant only grows to a certain height then become procumbent.
