Juvenile plants obtained in 2010 from Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Now about 12"-14" tall in 1-gallon pots. Seed-grown from ASDM plant.

Most plants have new spines that emerge as yellow, but about 20% are a lovely bright red in coloration.
