From one original purchased Urn Plant, I have had great success with this indoors (south/west window)...the 1st plant gave me 3 pups...then I got 6...and I am now awaiting 12 new plants to bloom!

In an earlier stage of bloom...wonderful to watch it develop...indoors I used a high potash fertilizer for flowering plants (15-30-15) added to the soil, while always keeping water in the centre well

Beautiful flower, still opening and has been for 3 weeks. Neighbors had it for 6 years without blooms.

Aechmea fasciata or Silver Vase Bromeliad is native to Brazil, being among the most beautiful and probably the best known of all Bromeliads.
