Useful for its long bloom season, this species is also scarcely to be found in the trade. The tabasco red flowers are large compared to most Cupheas, at about 1” long & 3/4” wide (mouse ears included)

Occasional pruning to reinvigorate the plant & increase its bushiness is encouraged but not required. It looks like this plant might even be useful as an informal hedge!
