Flowering plants, in spring 2002. These formed almost a hedge, about 50 cm high. Foliage is not variegated here - from preceding photos one gets the impression it usually is, but with us in the Netherlands this is only a minority.

Not native to Texas but has escaped cultivation. This plant will often take over large areas. Prefers shade. This photo was taken near McKinney, Texas in Collin county.

Great for shady areas. Needs to be "contained" with borders because it will overrun other plants.

Greater Periwinkle (Vinca major) can be distinguished from Common Periwinkle (Vinca minor) by its leaf margin having small hairs.
