This is the most well known plant of this species- have seen it in many photos in journals and books. This one is at the Huntington Gardens, Pasadena California and is enormous (nearly 4' tall) and hardly any suckers (maybe they've been cut away?)

These massive plants (each about 4-5' across) are growing in a great private garden, San Diego County, California. This variety seems to sucker only reluctantly
