The flowers are very small and occur on long strands that hang down. The fruit is small also. It was difficult to take a clear photo. The ruffled flower petals are edged with a thin band of white which stands out against the dark bluish purple color. Rare.

In late April, the Golden Dew Drop, Sky Flower, Pigeon Berry 'Sweet Memories' is blooming and still has a few ripened fruit as well as a few dried fruit (shown here).

this is one of the fist set of buds to emerge. see how they're a tad lighter in color then the 'older' bud?

it grew from a 4" pot i planted in april to 4 1/2 ft now ( mid sept) the branches in this pic are about 5" in diameter
