This plant retains its fruit which then produce more flowers and fruit and new plants can be started from the fruits

Should be described as new variety - from an island north of La Paz in Baja Mexico named "Isla Espiritu Santo". different areoles and spines. Photo originally added to the PlantFiles on May 15, 2007

Grown in pot in southern Indiana. Has doubled in size in two months.
