This plant is a small shrub to about 5 feet when planted in areas out of its native range. In Austin, Texas this plant grows in tree form to 12 or 15 feet.

The Texas mountain laurels are blooming now. These are buds just about ready to open at the first of March. (San Antonio, Tx.)

The Texas mountain laurel is a wonderful addition to the landscape. The blue and yellow pansies are the perfect combination planting. I wish it bloomed all year. Shown in March. (San Antonio, Tx.)
