Arizona ash roots lifting a sidewalk which will eventually crack. While taking walks especially at night, individuals trip on these upheaved sidewalk portions. Driveways are also cracked and pushed upwards. (San Antonio, Tx.)

50+YO Modesto Ash Zone 8b early Fall.Pictured tree is fragile, losing limbs, some zone-specific disease, 8ft circumference trunk. Gorgeous tree in prime.

This a tree planted at the same time of previously pictured specimen, only 5ft circumference trunk; few leaves as pictured, this summer, after split trunk previous year w/pruning compliments of city.

Limb failure at tree approx age 55, 3-4 years ago; unlike the earlier loss, this limb separated totally over the street.

Neighbor's 35 year old Arizona Ash (Fraxinus velutina) tree - The trunk as well as canopy had to be cut in half last year due to fungus growth. This year it's a goner. Will miss the shade. 4/18/2015

Neighbor's 35 year old Arizona Ash (Fraxinus velutina) trees are susceptible to a fungus which is shown in this photo. It causes limbs to break and eventually kills the tree. 4/18/2015
