Sometimes the flowers are very dark in coloration.

These blooms are very tiny, so it is fairly difficult to get a good photo. Too bad they are not large, since they are so pretty.

Leaf of Aplectrum hyemale appears in Fall and will stay above ground all winter. It withers away before the plant blooms.
