Not only the upper page of these leaves has this curious color pattern, but the lower is bright purple. Excellent house plant. Rio de Janeiro, early autumn.

C. insignis in January 2010 having survived about ten nights of 20s F sustained freezes, outdoors in a warm microclimate spot in my garden in NE Florida.
