These plants were moved two years ago; they were found growing in rock-hard clay in clumps of Liriope. Finally blooming again!

Not the greatest photo, but the flower color makes it difficult. Petals on toadshade are upright, more like a tulip. They do not open.

Trillium sessile does not always have dark brown or maroon petals, sometimes they are green.

Here is the same trillium with the greenish petals after it opened. Not as showy as many others.

I've lived in this house for ten years, and this spring this little guy sprouted out of nowhere in the middle of my lawn! What a happy surprise.

This guy sprouted in the middle of my lawn, so I gave him a temporary home in a pot so he wouldn't get mowed. I've never seen them in this area, and have no idea where he came from!
