This little rose seems quite content to live and bloom in shady areas here in west KY

This is a photo of a two year old plant from a cutting. The parent was about 8 feet high and fully as wide, growing in water - my husband had to wade out to get the cutting. I have it planted in a very soggy area of our yard and it's had one slightly dry year, and one very wet year.

Planted in my garden in Louisiana 1 1/2 years ago as a 2 gallon plant, it has thrived after a record cold winter with record rain. Blooming April 21, 2010.
