This is a root cut from a large specimen and has finer leaf structure than those exhibited at Huntington. As this plant begins to clump it resembles habit of agave stricta.

This is an easy care Texan plant! We bought it at a local nursery, they planted it. I forgot to water it. It has thrived and is about to bloom again.

Aloe thompsoniana slow growing at this point very fine leaf with sharp skin piercing leaves. Probably an pre-columbian torture plant for Aztecs. lol
