A "ferny" looking tree which can have slightly curved to straight spines which are small and to not pose a hazard as do the thorns of other acacias.

Berlandier Acacia, Acacia berlandieri I found my seedling growing in the wild with a bunch others.

This tree grew 12' in just a short 4 months. Very fast grower. I eventually got rid of it.
