April 30, 2004 - 6 days after the prior image the bloom stalk is now over 6 feet tall and yet to open.

The real Manfreda maculosa is a very succulent plant with very pronounced teeth along the edges--this Texas native was seed sown October 2006--picture taken 2/1/2009
