Yaupon Holly berries on my cousin's 10 acres in Gonzales County, Texas. The berries are eaten by numerous animals including deer. (San Antonio, Tx.)

This photo provides a view of the Ilex vomitoria as a small tree and a view of the bark. You can see numerous tree trunks in the background because it flourishes in Gonzales County, Tx. with new offspring sprouting up almost everywhere mixed in amongst taller oak trees.
