This is a magnificent plant and grows and flowers prolifically. I have it in quite a small pot by my front door and it's just such a gorgeous sight

Given full sun the orange coloration comes out. This one is climbing up through Datura tatula.

Bulbine growing in a large perennial bed on my corner with puslane and lazy daisy (white)peeking through. The bulbine was planted this spring.

Yellow blooming bulbine is taller than the orange bloomimg 'Hallmark' and the bloom spikes tend to fall over more easily. A vibrant yellow ... (San Antonio, Tx.)

The petals are very thin and delicate. The sunlight shines through them causing them to appear to glow. (San Antonio, Tx.)

The bulbine adds color to the fall and winter landscape as well as the rest of the year. Mine took a rest from blooming in late December (the only time all year) and have started to bloom in January after several freezes. (San Antonio, Tx.)

Makes beautiful borders for paths. It is full bloom now. Very colorfull plant.

This group of yellow bulbine began last year as 3 small plants. They have spread to at least 4 feet. The offshoots at the bottom of the plants which are developing roots need to be transplanted.

Stalked Bulbine (Bulbine frutescens) seed pods (seedpods) are very small and occur all along the bloom stalk. This is an unripe seed pod (seedpod) with part of the bloom still attached..
