The magenta flowers and maroon leaves make this crabapple tree appear to be on fire in the late afternoon sun.

The blossoms fade as they age from magenta to pinkish-white. They are pretty in all stages.

Unfortunately, these little crabapples do contain viable seeds! The birds eat most of them but leave enough behind to reseed moderately.
