Large, thick speciman blooming mid-April in Dallas.

All of the petals on all of the flowers of this speciman were curled under. Also, the whole plant was falling over more than the speciman I previously photographed, which had been tall and stiff (see other picture credited to me).

Engelmann's Daisy, Cut-leaf Daisy (Engelmannia peristenia) as seen on bright afternoon sunlight. The petals of the bloom to the right are starting to curl back in the afternoon heat.

Engelmann's Daisy, Cut-leaf Daisy (Engelmannia peristenia) bloom petals folded back in afternoon heat. Looking a lot different now than they did in the morning, one might think they belonged to a different plant.
