This is Salvia x gregii "Maraschino," which is a hybrid between S. grahamii and S. microphylla. The flowers are a bright cherry red.

A Salvia "Hot Lips" composition with plants of Verbena underneath. This helps giving colors to the bottom of the plant as well.

I'm not crazy about this salvia--it sprawls all over everywhere but does look good in winter/early spring. It will not have any white coloring at all in the heat down here--and that's most of the year
