Wild Date Palm, India Date Palm, Silver Date Palm, Date Sugar Palm 'Robusta' (Phoenix sylvestris)

Put in ground last spring. Looked like a blade of grass at that time.

This 4 year old palm is starting to form a trunk and flowered.

This palm was grown from seed and planted in the ground about 7 years ago. It is the same palm as in all the previous pictures.

About 6ft of trunk in just 7 years from seed. This cultivar is aptly named.
